The Gombe State Government has signed a memorandum of Understanding with the World Bank aim at accelerating Nutrition in the state.
The activity which will be implemented through a project tagged Accelerating Niutrition in Nigeria (ANRiN) was held on Tuesday 06/07/2019 at the Emerald Royal Hill Hotel Gombe.
The memorandum was signed by the World Bank representative Sangeeta Caro Pinto, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health Hajiya Zainab Idiris Haruna, Majority Leader Gombe State House of Assembly Hon. Markus Samuel Wina, Gombe state ANRiN Programme Coordinator Suleiman Mamman as well as two other partners Maternal Newborn & Child Health Coalition (MNCH) and Civil Society- Scale-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS/SUNN).
The programme which will be supported by the World Bank for five years is to gulf the sum of 9.874 million dollars which is equivalent to 3.4billion Naira while Gombe state Government is to pay the sum of #50million as counter fund.
