He is the Honourable member of the Gombe State House of Assembly representing Billiri-East since 2015 and has served as Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources, Member of Committees on Rules and Business, House Services, Works and is currently the Chairman House committee on Judiciary. He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate from Kalmai Primary School in 1985, Senior Secondary School Certificate from GSS, Pindiga in 1992, and Diploma in Theology from School of Bible Studies, Jos in 1996, BSc in Sociology and Anthropology in 2003, PGD in Journalism from Int’l Institute of Journalism, Jos in 2007 and MSc in Criminology from University of Jos, 2012. He poses to be a ‘bookworm’ as he has furthered his education to obtaining his second Degree in Law from University of Abuja in 2018 and is currently on his PhD studies in University of Abuja. He has served as a Follow-Up worker in World Bible School in 2003, volunteered as a Teacher in Tangale Community Secondary School, Banganje in 2003 and also worked in the Church Ministry, Abuja in 2010 among others. He is presently the Director of Operations in Hope Spring International (NGO).

He has served as a member of various professional organisations including Institute of Fraud Examinations, American Embassy Resource centre, Nigerian Union of Journalist and Tangale Community Development Assoc. among others.
