Hon. Abubakar Mohammed was elected member to the Gombe state House of Assembly in 2019 representing the good people of Deba constituency. He started his primary education at Ngarnnam primary school, Tula where he obtained his first school leaving certificate in 1994 and proceeded to Brigadier Maimalari secondary school for his senior secondary certificate in 2000, obtained his Diploma in General Agriculture from Ramat polytechnic, Maiduguri in 2004, and proceeded to University of Maiduguri where he obtained his BSc. Agricultural Economics in 2014, and Msc. Agricultural Economics.   Among his various achievements and working experiences is his one-year mandatory national service [NYSC] 2015, he worked in Eco Bank Nigeria ltd as transaction officer from 2007-2014 and Relation officer from 2014-2018. Hon. Abubakar Mohammed is currently serving as chairman House committee on Finance and Economic planning.

His working experience: 18 weeks Industrial Training [SIWESS]       Gombe cooperative financial Agencies [2008]. He did teach practice at Government vocational Training center, Qtrs Gombe, he also did teaching practice at Government Day Secondary school Bolari East Gombe he is now a Hon. Member Gombe State House of Assembly Deba Constituency and also a Chairman Trade and Investment /science and technology committee.  

POSITION HELD: Vice president, Gombe state Student Association [GOSSA] FCE, he was a president, Gombe state student Association [GOSSA] FCE, APC Flag Bearer for State Hause of Assembly [2015] General Election, APC Running mate Vice Chairman, Yamaltu Deba Local Government [2017] Gombe State Local Government Election, State coordinator, Gombe State youth progressive Alliance (GOSAYPA).
