The State Deputy Governor Mr. Charles Ya’u Iliya has again said that any development resolves around prevalence of peace.
The Deputy Governor who was addressing officials of United Nigeria Chaplaincy, Gombe State Command when they paid him a courtesy call in his office said if there is injury on peace everything in the society.
Mr. Charles Ya’u Iliya explained that in view of the importance, Government attaches peace, it will stop at nothing to support any individual or group of individuals committed to complementing government’s efforts to ensuring peace in the society.
He commended the Gombe State Chapter of the United Nigeria Chaplaincy for being on course in contributing their own part towards the prevalence of peace in the society, advising them to be ready to meet challenges in the course of their activity but never to relent because success is made possible only when one faces challenges squarely.
He then pledge the government’s assistance to the corps and indeed any group that shows commitment to the well-being of the people in the state.
Speaking earlier, the secretary of the State Command, United Nigeria Chaplaincy Mr. Darlington Danladi said the corps is a non-political but multi-religious, multi-ethnic and paramilitary organization that is duly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission as spiritual and moral builders restoring the glory of Nigeria among committee of Nations.
Mr. Darlington who spoke on behalf of the state commandant Mr. Galadima Lasani further explained that the corps founded on the basis of love, peace and discipline, aims at fostering peaceful coexistence through campaign against all manner of vices in the society.
He said the Chaplaincy also seeks to partner with all security agencies and the government at all levels towards achieving their goals, thereby soliciting for financial and moral support, and advises on how to surmount their challenges in other to achieve their desired goal of a peaceful society.
