Birth and Academic Qualifications

Dr. Manasseh Daniel Jatau was born on 29th December, 1955 in the Putoki, Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State. He obtained his Primary School  Certificate from Gelengu Senior Primary School in 1969. He processed to Government Science Secondary School Billiri from 1970 to 1974 where he obtained West African School Certificate (WASC). He has a BSc. Sociology in 1979 form University of Maiduguri. He also went to Bayero University Kano where a bagged a Ph.D in Sociology of Organisation in 1999 and attended several capacity building conferences, workshop and seminars.

Dr. Mannaseh Daniel Jatau started work as an Assistant Supretendant of Customs with the Nigerian Custom Service in 1981 and rose to the rank of Deputy Controller General of Customs (DCG) in 2010 and retired from service in January 2014.

Until his resent election to the office of the Deputy Governor Gombe State, he was a Senior Lecturer with Bingham University Karu, Nassarawa State. He is happily married and blessed with children.
